In memory of Collin Charles Maher, 2006–2026. Collin founded the Cocoa Classic as a high school sophomore. It put shoes on more than 1,600 kids. Now it funds mental health research and care for young people like him.
The race continues in his name.
What is the Cocoa Classic?
Two races - Two States - one reason to run.
It started as a 5K in Atlanta, Georgia that a sixteen-year-old built to buy shoes for kids who needed them. It's now a race in Atlanta and a race in St. Louis, raising money to close a gap in mental health care for teens and young adults.
Come to race it. Come to walk it with your kids. Come because you knew Collin, or because you know someone like him. The finish line is the same either way — hot cocoa, and a lot of people who showed up for the same reason.
